I am an attending staff cardiologist at University Hospital of Salamanca and Associate professor in the Department of Medicine (University of Salamanca). My training and current clinical practice involves multi-modality cardiovascular imaging. I am the coordinator of the Cardio-Oncology program at the University Hospital of Salamanca since 2014. My research practice is mainly focused on cardiac toxicity of cancer therapy in elderly patients and on the utility of advanced imaging techniques for detection of subclinical cancer-therapy cardiotoxicity. I am a board member of the Spanish Cardio Oncology working group and Spanish chapter of the International Cardio-Oncology Society. I have participated in all the Spanish consensus documents on different aspects of cardio-oncology as a representative of the Spanish Society of Cardiology. I am frequently invited to participate in lectures and training projects on cardio-oncology. Moreover I am a member of the Medical Ethics Committee of the Salamanca Hospital Complex since 2015.
